G'day Mate! Welcome to the Australian Hat Outlet. We have specialized in the outdoors hats for the past 27 years. Traveling to outdoor hunting fishing shows in California, Oregon and Washington. In the past  you could have found us at Alameda County Fair, Sonoma County Fair or The California State Fair. Our home base store is located in Anderson, California near Redding, CA with its beautiful views of Mount Shasta and the Lassen Mountain range. Now the home of the world-renowned Sundial Bridge. Our store is conveniently located just off Interstate 5, a perfect stop on any road trip north. Going south stop by on your way to Shasta Lake, Whiskey town Lake, Oregon or the state of Washington to pick up your great outdoor hat. We offer a wide variety of hats made for any outdoor activity. Specializing in Australian made Akubra, made from 100 percent rabbit fur felt, waterproof and cool in the summer.  The AKUBRA you buy from us will include FREE cleaning and Shaping service at our store.  Our Australian made leather hats are very popular for winter or summer also.  Come and see our wide variety of outdoor hats.

This place is just way too cool. They've got a huge selection of hats from the rabbit skin Akubras to ones made from mesh and suede and leather. There was even a selection of New Zealand wool drivers caps there (which I ended up buying.). It's a fun store to visit and check out the huge kangaroo fur they have on the wall by the door. Too cool!

We have been in the hat industry for 27 years.  We had worked in state fairs all over the country. We are passionate about our business, love what we do and really enjoy making customers happy with their purchase.  Sandy is also a great hat shaper.  Here is our map on how to find our little slice of Australia. If you are coming from the south on I-5, Take the Riverside exit, (just north of Anderson) go left over the freeway, stay on the main road, cross the railroad tracks, turn left on 273, go 3 to 4 tenths of a mile, and look for the kangaroo on your right. If you are coming from the north on I-5, Take the Riverside exit, (south of Redding) stay to your right, stay on the main road, cross the railroad tracks, turn left on 273, go 3 to 4 tenths of a mile, and look for the kangaroo on your right.
